My name is Korinne.
I'm twenty-something.
I like to draw. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't. :D

I don't often have time for requests, but I'm pretty much always open for art trades or commissions. (God knows I need the practice :D)

I also like stupid jokes. XD
The more stupid, the better.

I'm not being productive enough regarding actual finished pieces. All I've been doing is sketching and starting a tile set.
Aka, boring stuff that no one cares about.

So while I'm doing my normal crap... Would anyone like to do a trade with me? An Emoticon From Years Gone By
I'm pretty much open to working with anyone, so don't be shy! (Like me!)

My only "won't"s are nothing too sexy, nothing to too gorey (it depends, you can ask), nothing hateful/bigoted.
Anyway, comment or send me a note if you are interested.

Hi there! You did the lineart for my sketch for the Rising-Artists switch around meme. I just wanted to say thanks, it looks great, as does the rest of your gallery!

Btw you live in Japan? Do you study Japanese?
I have always wanted to go there someday, it's my number one country that I would love to visit if I could. I have watched so many j-vlogs and seen so many things, everything looks so inspiring and beautiful.

I do, and I am! I am not very good at self-study though, so it's hard. Sweating a little... Japanese and English are so different, and I'm not very good with languages to begin with. I'm trying though!

It's a really nice country! I kind of don't want to leave, haha. Pretty scenery, good food, friendly people, I hope you can come someday! :meow:
Also, I watch some j-vlogs too, even though I live here. It's always interesting to hear other peoples' experiences.

Okay how long have you stayed there? :D
Yes I would love to go there someday, I have watched so many j-clogs already! But I have to convince my dad first, because I don't want to go alone in a foreign country.
But my dad says that he wants to wait until he feels the urge, I mean c'mon! You can't wait forever, isn't it exciting to just go somewhere?
How about the English barrier? My dad thinks that it's hard to get around because no one speaks English. And isn't it expensive to stay in the hotels?
My dad always tells me that the flight is always expensive etc, but I have heard that it's more cheap to buy food there and clothes etc.

I want to visit everywhere, visit akihabara, bars, onsens, the forests, mountains, the temples, shibyua :D Those manga shops.

Aaah, waiting around for your dad must be frustrating! One of my biggest reasons for coming was because I figured we might as well take the chance while we had it. Who knows what we'll be doing in ten or twenty years? We might as well go right now! :D
We've been here for about two and half years. Like I said before, my Japanese is pretty poor, but even so I manage to get around fine. If you want to do stuff in a hugely populated place like Tokyo, then you'll be able to get by with not much Japanese. Hotel staff usually speaks English, workers at major tourist attractions speak English, the trains and train stations have lots of signage and announcements in English, etc. And if you just want to go shopping or to restaurants and stuff then you only need a little Japanese.
Most people are pretty understanding if you can't speak Japanese. You just do your best to use whatever Japanese you have and they'll try to help you as much as they can.

As for expensive stuff... There's always a wide range. For dinner, you could go to a fancy restaurant for a lot of money, or you could fill up on onigiri and nikuman at the convenience store for only a few hundred yen. :D So you can definitely have fun on a budget. You just have to make sure you plan in advance.

CDs are really expensive though. For some reason. I have no idea why. Going to the movies can also be expensive if you don't get a discount. But it's the CDs that I find really baffling. :?
